Fritillaria Kurdica. Bulletin of Kurdish Studies no.15

In the 15th issue of our bulletin we present the Polish translation of four short stories by Mehmet Dicle, the young Kurdish writer from Bakur (North Kurdistan/Turkey) currently living and working in Istanbul. The first collection of Dicle’s short stories, entitled Asûs and written in the Kurmanji dialect of Kurdish language, was published in 2005 and was followed by Nara (2010) and Ta (2013). Despite their being small volumes, these three books established him as a leading figure among the younger generation of Kurdish writers from Bakur. The Polish translation of Dicle’s works was done by Joanna Bocheńska, who is also the author of the English foreword. The issue is available in the pdf below.
